SUGGESTIONS FOR THE DAY OF THE FLEA MARKET
1. Be sure to have a lot of single bills and small change with you.
2. Do not keep money in the open. A fanny pack (waist wallet) is a good idea.
3. Bring a hat, sunglasses, or umbrella - some kind of protection from the sun.
4. You may want to bring a folding chair.
5. You may want to purchase an inexpensive plastic drop cloth from a hardware store to cover your merchandise in case
of a brief shower.
6. Bring a bottle of water or juice for yourself.
7. You may want to bring a sandwich or some non-messy food item to eat. You will be at the market for at least 5
hours.
8. Bring newspaper or bubble wrap if you have fragile items for sale, as well as a supply of bags in various sizes. Your
customers will want them.
9. Wet-wipes are a good idea. Newspaper and wrap can be messy.
10. You may want to have with you: pen, scotch tape, scissors, small pad/paper, labels, calculator.
11. You will need to bring your own display materials, tape, clips, etc.
12. An inventory list with potential prices might be useful. Be prepared to bargain.
13. Talk to the vendors on either side of you. You may need someone to cover for you if you need to run indoors.
14. You are expected to stay for the full time, and will need to begin clearing up promptly at 4 p.m.
15. If you have any difficulties with customers, please do not call out, or make any commotion. Simply notify the Market
Manager who will be nearby.
